All You Need To Know About Managing Perceptions

Ever felt a disconnect with the way someone perceives you, your actions, performance, persona? Ever worked on a team that was delivering great service/support but was perceived differently? Perception is powerful – and managing it is even more powerful. During this interactive presentation you will learn some tips and techniques to help you maintain or influence someone’s perception of you and your team.

Objectives:

  1. Create awareness of the fact that we can manage other’s perception of us, as individuals and as a team.
  2. Understand and learn the drivers of how we are perceived
  3. Learn some practical tips for successfully managing (and maintaining) being positively perceived

About Mark Chagaris
Mark Chagaris is currently the VP of Operations for 120VC, a project management services company. Prior to joining 120VC, he was the Vice President of Culture Management and Communications for Countywide IT. During his career he has managed large service organizations, consulted to Fortune 500 IT Executives, and frequently engaged in his passion – sharing soft skills secrets with IT professionals. Mark is a firm believer that soft skills are learned behaviors (for the many of us not born with that chromosome) and technology professionals are the best and brightest at learning and applying new things. In his spare time, Mark is the 2011 SoTeC Conference Vendor Chair.
