But what is a best-practice … and can anything stop malware attacks such as the one that infected Target and stole information from over 100 million customers, (did you know that parts of that malware attack were written in Russian?).

About Speaker:
Robert M. Wood is an IT leader with over 2 decades of experience in private industry, academia, healthcare, and government. He has successfully lead Information Security Departments, IT Project Management Departments, and Regulatory Compliance Departments at Deaconess Hospital, USC, and the County of Ventura.
Mr. Wood currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer and Privacy Officer for the County of Ventura. In this capacity, his responsibilities cover all of the policies and practices that protect the data that the County maintains. To ensure the security of that data, he regularly directs infrastructure vulnerability scans and penetration tests, policy and process reviews, and business work-flow analysis of County agencies.
